Front upper right-hand control arm designed for 1997–2019 Cadillac and Chevrolet models. This replacement control arm secures the wheel hub assembly to the vehicle frame while maintaining proper wheel alignment and suspension geometry. Built for durability and reliable performance, it restores steering precision, reduces uneven tire wear, and helps maintain ride comfort. Direct-fit design simplifies installation as a restoration or maintenance part for front suspension systems.
Features:
- Fits 1997–2019 Cadillac and Chevrolet models (front upper right-hand control arm).
- Durable forged steel construction for long-lasting strength and corrosion resistance.
- Replaces worn or damaged OEM upper front control arm to restore alignment and handling.
- Pre-assembled bushings and ball joint for straightforward installation and reliable operation.
- Helps reduce vibration, improve steering response, and prevent premature tire wear.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 60-120 minutes
Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, engage parking brake, and block rear wheels.
- Loosen front wheel lug nuts slightly, then lift vehicle with a jack and secure on jack stands. Remove the front wheel.
- Apply penetrating oil to control arm fasteners and allow to soak if corroded.
- Support the lower control arm with a jack or suitable support to prevent sudden drop of the suspension.
- Remove the sway bar end link (if attached to the upper control arm) and any brackets or components obstructing access.
- Separate the ball joint from the steering knuckle using a ball joint separator or press, taking care not to damage the knuckle.
- Remove the bolts/nuts securing the control arm to the frame or subframe and extract the old control arm.
- Compare the new control arm with the removed unit to ensure correct orientation and part match.
- Position the new control arm and loosely install frame/subframe bolts and ball joint nut to hold it in place.
- With vehicle at normal ride height (use the jack to position lower control arm), torque all fasteners to the manufacturer's specifications, starting with frame bolts then ball joint.
- Reinstall any removed brackets or sway bar links and mount the wheel. Lower the vehicle and torque wheel lug nuts to spec.
- Have a professional wheel alignment performed after installation to ensure proper tire wear and handling.
