Front upper left control arm designed as a direct-fit replacement for 1997-2004 Chevrolet Corvette models. This heavy-duty suspension component secures the wheel hub to the chassis, maintains proper camber and caster alignment, and absorbs road forces to ensure predictable handling and tire wear. Manufactured from robust materials with reinforced joints and durable bushings, it restores steering precision, reduces vibration, and increases longevity compared with worn or corroded factory parts. Ideal for restoration, routine maintenance, or performance-oriented rebuilds, this control arm delivers reliable fitment and straightforward installation for DIY enthusiasts and professional technicians alike.
Features:
- Fits 1997-2004 Chevrolet Corvette (front upper left hand control arm).
- Direct-fit replacement for original equipment — no modification required.
- Solid steel construction with reinforced mounting points for long service life.
- Pre-installed durable bushings to reduce vibration and improve ride quality.
- Restores proper wheel alignment, handling precision, and tire wear characteristics.
- Corrosion-resistant finish for enhanced durability in road and weather conditions.
- Ideal for restoration, collision repair, or preventive suspension maintenance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 1–2 hours
Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface, set the parking brake, and block the rear wheels.
- Loosen the front wheel lug nuts slightly, then raise the front of the car with a floor jack and support securely on jack stands. Remove the front left wheel.
- Spray penetrating oil on control arm fasteners, ball joint nut, and mounting bolts; allow time to soak.
- Disconnect any sway bar links or ABS/brake line brackets attached to the control arm if applicable.
- Remove the nut securing the ball joint to the steering knuckle. Use a ball joint separator or appropriate puller to separate the ball joint from the knuckle.
- Support the steering knuckle to prevent strain on brake lines, then remove the control arm mounting bolts at the chassis.
- Remove the old control arm from the vehicle. Inspect adjacent suspension components (bushings, ball joint, knuckle) and clean mounting surfaces.
- Position the replacement control arm into place and loosely install the chassis mounting bolts to hold it.
- Reconnect the ball joint to the steering knuckle and install the retaining nut. Torque the ball joint nut and chassis bolts to the manufacturer's specified values with a torque wrench.
- Reattach any sway bar links or brake line brackets that were removed.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque the wheel lug nuts to specification.
- Have a professional wheel alignment performed after installation to restore proper camber and toe settings.
