Front lower right-hand control arm with integrated ball joint engineered for 1997–2019 Cadillac and Chevrolet vehicles (select models). This suspension component locates the wheel, maintains proper alignment, and transfers loads between the wheel assembly and chassis while allowing controlled steering and suspension movement. Designed as a direct-fit replacement to restore factory geometry, it improves handling, reduces vibration, and helps prevent premature tire wear. Built for durability and dependable performance, this control arm is ideal for routine maintenance, collision repair, and full suspension restorations.
Features:
- Fits 1997–2019 Cadillac and Chevrolet vehicles (select models) — front lower, right-hand position.
- Constructed from high-strength stamped steel for long-lasting durability and resistance to fatigue.
- Includes a pre-installed ball joint to simplify replacement and ensure correct factory alignment.
- Restores proper suspension geometry to improve handling, steering responsiveness, and tire life.
- Direct-fit design for an easier installation with no modification required on most applications.
- Ideal for collision repair, suspension restoration, and routine maintenance to maintain vehicle safety.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 60-120 minutes per side
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, engage parking brake, and block rear wheels.
- Raise the front of the vehicle with a floor jack and secure it on jack stands; remove the front wheel.
- Apply penetrating oil to nuts and bolts on the control arm and ball joint; allow to soak if corroded.
- Disconnect the sway bar end link if it interferes with control arm removal.
- Remove the nut securing the ball joint to the steering knuckle. Use a ball joint separator or pickle fork to separate the joint from the knuckle.
- Unbolt the control arm mounting bolts at the chassis/frame and any additional linkage or bracket fasteners.
- Remove the old control arm from the vehicle. Compare with the replacement to confirm correct orientation and fit.
- Install the new control arm into position and loosely thread the chassis/frame mounting bolts and any brackets.
- Reinsert the ball joint stud into the steering knuckle and install the nut. Torque all fasteners to the manufacturer's specifications (consult factory service manual).
- Reattach the sway bar end link if removed. Double-check all fasteners, lower the vehicle, and torque the wheel lug nuts to spec.
- After installation, have a professional wheel alignment performed to ensure correct toe, camber, and caster settings.
