Premium replacement taillight / parking / turn signal lamp socket engineered for 1976–1996 Chevrolet Corvette models. This direct-fit socket restores reliable electrical contact for rear lighting circuits, preventing intermittent connections, flicker, and corrosion-related failures. Designed to match OE fit and function, it helps maintain proper signaling and lighting safety while extending the life of bulbs and wiring. Durable materials and solid terminals ensure long-term reliability and simple installation for restoration or maintenance projects.
Features:
- Fits: 1976-1996 Chevrolet Corvette (taillight, parking, and turn signal sockets)
- Direct-fit replacement for original rear lamp socket assemblies
- Durable thermoplastic housing with corrosion-resistant metal terminals
- Restores solid electrical contact to prevent flicker and intermittent lighting
- Easy to install — ideal for restoration, repair, or routine maintenance
- Compatible with standard rear bulbs used in the listed Corvette years
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 15-30 minutes per side
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, turn off ignition and remove key; disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent short circuits.
- Open the trunk or access panel to reach the taillight housing. Remove any trim or covers securing the taillight assembly using the appropriate screwdriver or socket.
- Carefully pull the taillight assembly outward to access the bulb sockets on the rear of the housing.
- Rotate the bulb/socket assembly counterclockwise to release it from the housing (or unclip depending on model). Pull the socket out far enough to access the wiring connector.
- Disconnect the wiring harness by pressing the release tab and pulling the connector apart. If corroded, gently work it loose with needle-nose pliers.
- Remove the old socket from the bulb by pulling straight out or twisting per the original design, then install the new socket by reversing the removal method. Ensure terminals are fully seated.
- Apply a light coat of dielectric grease to the terminals to help prevent future corrosion (optional). Reconnect the wiring harness to the new socket until it clicks.
- Insert the bulb/socket assembly back into the taillight housing and rotate or clip into place. Reinstall the taillight assembly and any removed trim or fasteners.
- Reconnect the negative battery terminal and test all rear lights (taillight, parking, and turn signals) to confirm proper operation.
