Windshield Weatherstrip Seal WBL D636 for 1963–1967 Chevrolet Corvette 2‑door hardtop models (without trim groove). This precisely profiled weatherseal restores the windshield-to-body interface to factory fit, preventing water intrusion, reducing wind noise, and protecting interior trim. Made from a durable, UV- and ozone-resistant EPDM rubber compound, the seal resists cracking and deformation for long-term reliability. Engineered for an accurate fit and straightforward installation, it’s ideal for restoration projects or preventative maintenance to maintain original appearance and performance.
Features:
- Fits 1963–1967 Chevrolet Corvette 2-door hardtop models (windshield seal without trim groove).
- Manufactured from high-quality EPDM rubber for UV, ozone, and weather resistance.
- Designed to restore factory windshield fit, prevent leaks, and reduce wind noise.
- No trim groove profile — intended for hardtop windshields that accept a groove-free seal.
- Durable, long-lasting material built for restoration and maintenance applications.
- Straightforward replacement part that improves cabin comfort and protects interior components.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 60-90 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a flat surface and protect surrounding paintwork with towels or masking tape.
- Carefully remove the old windshield weatherstrip. Use a plastic trim tool to pry sections free; cut away any stubborn adhesive with a utility knife.
- Thoroughly clean the windshield channel and mating flange using rubbing alcohol or a solvent cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and residue. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip around the windshield perimeter to confirm orientation and fit. Trim excess length if necessary, leaving a small overlap at the ends.
- If adhesion is recommended, apply a thin, even coat of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel and/or the seal contact surface per the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions. Allow tack time as directed.
- Starting at the top center of the windshield, press the weatherstrip into the channel and work outward toward each corner. Use a hardwood block and rubber mallet or push-in tool to seat the weatherstrip firmly without stretching.
- Work down each side to the bottom, ensuring the seal seats evenly and end joints are snug. Trim any excess and make clean butt joints where needed.
- Wipe away any adhesive squeeze-out immediately. Allow adhesive to cure for the recommended time before operating the vehicle or exposing to water.
- Perform a final inspection for even seating and fit. Once cured, check for leaks by lightly spraying water around the windshield perimeter or performing a gentle water test.
