Corvettes are commonly found with the rust around the lower windshield body supports and floor pans due to water leaking through windshield post or frame assembly. Water collects under the frame moldings and in the channels, causes rust through, which then allows water to leak into the interior compartment. This repair can only be properly done by cutting out the original rusted components and welding in a new windshield frame.
