all (includes all terminals, connectors, & instructions as used by factory to convert Engine Harness and Dash Harness to accept transistor ignition. Included with our Transistor Ignition Auxiliary Harness.)
TECH NOTES:
This Transistor Ignition (T.I.) Conversion Kit includes all terminals, connectors & instructions as used by the factory to convert an engine harness and (for 1964-67) the dash harness, to accept the T.I. system. We offer this kit because some dealers do not include it as part of the T.I. Auxiliary Harness. We do!
This kit is NOT needed if you purchase a Lectric Limited T.I. Auxiliary Harness directly from us, since we include the conversion kit. It is also not needed if your 1964-71 Engine Harness and 1964-67 Dash Harness have already been converted to accept T.I.
NOTE: Transistorized ignition is a very specialized performance option that works well, when it works. When it doesn't, it can be very frustrating. From an originality standpoint, if your car was originally equipped with T.I., you would want to retain the T.I. system.
If you are thinking of converting your car from OEM standard (non-electronic) ignition to T.I., we recommend that you don't do it! Instead, we recommend using our Breakerless-SE Electronic Ignition Conversion Kit (part# 38131). The Breakerless-SE will be a cheaper, much easier to install, much more reliable, and better alternative to T.I.
