all (from Dash Harness ignition switch connector to Transistor Ignition Auxiliary Harness)
TECH NOTES:
The Transistor Ignition (T.I.) Extension Wire, used on 1968-71 Corvettes only, goes from the dash harness ignition switch connector, through the firewall, to the T.I. Auxiliary Harness.
NOTE: Transistorized ignition is a very specialized performance option that works well, when it works. When it doesn't, it can be very frustrating. From an originality standpoint, if your car was originally equipped with T.I., you would want to retain the T.I. system. However, if you're thinking of converting your car from OEM standard (non-electronic) ignition to T.I., don't do it! Instead, if you wan the benefits of electronic ignition without the hassle and expense of T.I., we highly recommend using our Breakerless-SE Electronic Ignition Conversion Kit (part #38131). The Breakerless-SE will be a cheaper, much easier to install, much more reliable and better alternative to T.I.
