This switch doesn't adjust far enough inward for my door?
These switches are two stage. The large plunger activates the light when the door is opened and deactivates it when closed. The small stem/button is adjustable so you can set it for your particular car. Compare the new switch to the old one and set the depth on the stem by pulling it out so it contacts the body the same as the factory stem did. If it needs to be pushed in further, so it sits closer to the larger plunger, you will have to remove the stem and trim it down, then gently close the door to test it.
