For knob with rod use part # 254135
The 84-89 cars originally used a clip on headlight knob. You do not have to remove the dash panel to install this knob.
To remove the knob, place the end of the 90` scribe in the small notch at the base of the knob, apply pressure to the top of the knob pulling back on the scribe at the same time. This will release the spring tension holding the knob in place. While holding, pull the unit toward you. The knob will slide off the shaft.
