1970-1981 with automatic transmission, all 1982. This is a high torque, lighter weight starter to replace the original, heavy starter. This new starter fits Corvettes with 168 tooth flywheel. To mount this starter 2 bolts (3/8-16 x 4 5/16 with 10mm shank) & gaskets are supplied. Supplied with 4 post solenoid, needed for Corvettes with convention 'points' ignition. Later C3 Corvettes will have electronic ignition, and on these vehicles the solenoid relay post is not used.
