Is your seat back in a permanent 'recline' position? Does your seat back have no support for the seat back stops? Are your lower seat stop adjusters loose, bent or broken?
Here is a simple economical solution to remedy all of these problems. Your seat back has no support because the lower stop adjusters on the bottom seat frame have become bent or loose, and the area around the nut that retains the adjusters has become bent or broken. This is an inherent weak point in the lower seat frame design. Usually the weld nut that holds the adjuster screw is broken loose from the seat frame and the rear channel of the frame is bent or broken. An easy repair is a seat frame reinforcement plate which is held in place by the adjuster screws and the seat back lock strap bracket. The 3/16" thick zinc plated steel reinforcement plate is bolted to the bottom seat frame with existing hardware. Installation requires no welding and there is no need to completely remove the lower seat cover or the seat
