Crankshaft Position Sensors monitor the position and rotational speed of the crankshaft. The signal from the crankshaft position sensor is used by the engine control module to determine fuel injection and ignition timing.
Common signs of a faulty crankshaft position sensor include; issues starting the vehicle, intermittent stalling, and the Check Engine Light coming on.
